Cosmo City Indaba (August)

Inclusionary housing is firmly on the country’s agenda as part of the future for housing delivery. The Department of housing has a mandate to make its presence felt and contribute in reversing the Apartheid landscape and that includes embarking on housing projects that are meant to house the employer and the employee in close proximity.

A vision for South African (rental) Housing (TBC)

Purpose

The development of a vision for the South African housing that is a manifestation of the Breaking New Ground strategy (including the Restructuring Zones, Inclusionary Housing, backyard shack, and informal settlement strategies.)

Objectives

This project will produce a document putting forward a vision for south african housing environment including architects to draw up the vision. A document including visual interpretations will extract the potential of those strategies supporting Breaking New Ground strategy.
